Annual Report 2023

It is with profound gratitude that we present the yearly report of the Trans Safety Emergency Fund – TSEF. As we reflect on a fruitful past year and its achievements and challenges, we are reminded of the unwavering commitment and resilience of the Trans community and its allies.

1st of June of 2023 – HAPPY PRIDE / white noise, black death

The time has come for us to express how proud we are of ourselves. But it is also time to remind ourselves that we did not just get here that easily.

Our president, Ivy Monteiro, has made a beautiful videowork about Pride and its historical intersectionality with race during Pride month in 2020, when Black Lives Matter Protests were arising across the globe. Three years have passed but this topic remains highly relevant today!

28th of June 2022 – Our Work Continues Campaign

Inspired by the work of Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, we launched a campaign to remind everybody that the work towards a fair life and equal rights for Trans people does not end with the month of June.

17th of June 2022 – Google Pride Event

The TSEF was privileged to be a guest at Google as part of their internal Pride Month festivities and we were able to educate participating employees about the needs of Trans people in the workplace.

4th of June 2022 – Khur Pride

At the first ever Pride in Chur, both Adena Adeifio and Sandro Niederer were able to delight and educate the audience with speeches on anti-racist and queer issues, offering advice and support to young Trans people.
