Since 1988, the start of every December has served as a day of remembrance and mourning. Designated as World AIDS Day, December 1st is a day for raising awareness and supporting the people living with HIV/AIDS, but also to remember those whom we have lost in this pandemic.
The discrimination Trans people face results in a lack of access to prevention and medical care. This makes Trans people seven to twenty times more likely to contract HIV than the general population. You can find more information on the UNAIDS 2024 Report.
HIV transmission can be prevented through condom use, PrEP or PEP.
Trans people having access to a successful HIV Therapy cannot pass the virus along.
Donate and help us provide life saving medication to Trans people in need.
On this World AIDS Day and all of December, we call you all to know your status and get tested to prevent HIV transmission.
